League of Legends: Know your enemy #2

Most popular Champions

According to a recent survey, Ezreal and Yasuo are very popular champions. They are being played very often and are susceptible of taking more than one role. Let’s take a look at their diverse builds created in order to fit the role you chose for them.

Ezreal is one of the champions that can have multiple roles: either AD Carry on the bottom lane, either AP on middle lane. Marksman Ezreal takes Heal and Flash as Summoner Spells. They are the best choice for a marksman as they guarantee the possibility to escape when caught in an ambush. The starting items are Doran’s Blade and Health Potion; these being followed by Trinity Force. As it may take a while to gather all the necessary gold, first buy the components of Phage, Ruby Crystal and Long Sword, then finish Sheen, finish Phage, make Zeal and finish Trinity Force. The next items are Blade of the Ruined King and Manamune.

If needed, you can buy Frozen Fist. As it gives an AOE slow, CD reduction, and armor, it works very well against bruisers. As well, Statik Shiv could be a good item in case the team lacks magic damage. On the other hand, AP Ezreal has got a different build. The Summoner Spells that fit his needs are Ignite and Flash. Teleport might be taken into consideration, also. What to begin with? Doran’s Ring, Health Potion and Warding Totem. An alternative to Doran’s Ring could be The Dark Seal. Sheen is the next item as it helps you make Q stronger. If you are in difficulty against a stronger opponent, then try Seeker’s Armguard. If you need more defense and, at the same time, more damage, then upgrade to Zhonya’s Hourglass. What to build next: Sorcerer’s Shoes, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Lich Bane, Void Staff.

Depending on your late match needs, you may buy Luden’s Echo or Morellonomicon and Zhonya’s Hourglass or Rylai’s Crystal Scepter. Guardian Angel or Banshee’s Veil are also great choices in case you need more defense. I also recommend Elixir of Sorcery as it gives true damage after using a spell and grants +50 Ability Power plus a bonus of 15 Mana Regen per 5 seconds.

Another champion who is susceptible of playing different roles is Yasuo. He can play middle lane or top lane. If you are playing top lane, when it comes to Summoner Spells, Teleport would be a good choice. Taking Ignite or Exhaust could be useful in early game, but TP is a crucial spell in late game.

If you going mid lane, Exhaust is better. I recommend Ignite only if the enemy mid laner or the enemy team has a lot of healing (Vladimir, Swain, Soraka). As starting items, Doran’s Blade and Health Potion are appropriate for Yasuo. If you are playing against a threatening bruiser on lane, then buy Cloth Armor and Jaurim’s Fist. On the other hand, if your enemy is AP, take Negatron Cloak instead of Cloth Armor.

A full build for Yasuo would be: Berserker’s Greaves, Frozen Mallet, Guardian Angel, Infinity Edge, Phantom Dancer and Maw of Malmortius. If the enemy team has got a lot of CC, then you can buy Mercurial Scimitar. Also, Blade of the Ruined King is great if you are playing against tanks.
